Beautiful brickoven pizza place in the middle of the woods. It is magical. Just expect a long wait for the pizza because it is made from scratch! It is worth it. Also try out their Ginger Ale we liked it!

Great stop off place while enjoying the rail trail. The coffee is delicious and fresh. They make wood fire pizzas. Staff were very friendly and inviting. Great location. Stop by on weekends there's music. Fantastic idea. You can access it walking, biking or drive off Spring town or River Rd.

The pizza here is great! Real Wood-Fire pizza oven, crispy thin crust, great toppings. Prices are good too. They also have Fresh scones & coffee in the mornings. Music and/or theater some nights. A great stop off the rail trail it's built on, or if you're camping at the Hipcamp across the way. Bicycle rentals next door.

The Rail Trail Cafe is more than a magical, humble, tree-canopied rustic place in the woods. It is where the outdoors comes indoors to refresh your spirit, it is where your indoors can come out to play. A sense of community welcomes you. The Cafe is a little shack that serves up tasty and healthful wraps, salads, juices, juice pops, and homemade gourmet vegetarian pizza from their wood-fired pizza oven. You can sit at a picnic bench, in the wrought iron chairs at round tables on the ground, in front of the small wooden platform stage, where a treasure of local talent, often of national and international acclaim, will fill you with song, dance, poetry, culture, history, healing, and enlightened delight. Performers love being at the Rail Trail Cafe because of the good vibes there. Actual goodness is present there. You can feel it! Donations for performers are welcomed, as you experience multi cultural and diverse genres of some of the best and unique artful performances of the Hudson Valley. And you will be just fifteen feet away from the Rail Trail which passed by and through the woods of Stone Mountain Farm, where the Cafe is located. Bikers and hikers drop in. Dogs are welcome. Families come. Drivers can park their cars in the dirt parking lot or on the nearby grassy meadow. The Cafe is located off Route 32 in Tillson, NY. GPS it! Go beyond Springtown Road. Don’t worry about the dead end sign. Just keep going towards Stone Mountain Farm, into the woods and onto the dirt road. You want adventure? This is it! Intrigued yet? The best is yet to come. See you there!!!

A friend invited us on a Rail Trail walk. My wife and I have walked other parts of the rail trail but this part was new to us. You need to follow your GPS to find this parking lot. This area of the trail is great. We walked north past the Rosendale Trestle about 1.6 miles from the Cafe and then went a little south of the Cafe to round out our walk to 4 miles. We had lunch at the Cafe. We had four individual pizza pies. Two “Simple” pizzas (tomato, cheese, fresh basil), one Super Green gluten free and one Greek Olive pie. We took home a Brian’s Burrito. Everything was delicious. There is a large wood fired oven which they cooked the pizzas and the Black Beans in. The staff here were all so friendly. It’s such a cool place. I would love to come back to see a concert and also to take a longer walk.

Simply one of my favorite places ever. I love taking people here. Park in lot A right behind the cafe ($5 suggested donation in the cash box) and try the simple green or shiitake pizzas, or any of their other items. It is a peaceful and beautiful atmosphere under the trees and sometimes there are live performers.

A great spot to bike or drive your car to. You can sit at a table at this outdoor cafe & enjoy freshly made brick oven pizza or a giant delicious burrito. Tonight a group is playing Beatles songs. Great time! Get on their list and come enjoy some food and live entertainment. 🌞 …
